There are so many Cigars Making enterprises in Inle Lake, but “Nampan “ is the most popular village for it. 

Ingredients  

Leaf of the sebesten tree (tha’ a’ phe’)
The best leaf of the sebesten tree comes from “ Kyauk Ta Lone”. The price of the leaf depends upon the quality of the leaf. The short length leaf are cheaper than the long length leaf. 

Tobacco Mixture 
It is a blend of chopped stalk of tobacco, plant fiber and shag. The best mixture is from “ Myin Gyan“. The price also depends on the quality. 

Vinegar 
The vinegar that are used in the tobacco mixing is made out of a blend of tamarind, rice wine and pineapple juice. They are all ferment inside a big glazed earthen jar for at least 2 years. 

Filter-tip 
The Filter-tip is made from corn husk, newspapers and tapioca glue. Most of the filter-tip comes from “Shwe Nyaung”.

How to make it  

(1) Separates the Sebesten tree leafs by size.
(2) Sprinkle the leaf with water. Without water sprinkling , the color of leaf changes. 
(3) Sprinkle vinegar into the tobacco mixture. In order to keep a good odor. 
(4) And then put the tobacco mixture into the leaf and make the top conical shape , Locals call it as “Kyar Phoo”. 
(5) Put the filter-tip  and stick with tapioca glue put together with business label. Cut the length as required.
(6) The final step is to put the cigarettes in the oven to roast it. 
(7) One person can make from 500 to 1000 cigars daily.

The cigars well sold during the winter time and festivities. 
 The scraps are used to feed the fishes at the lake.

အင်းလေးဒေသရှိ ရွာအတော်များများမှာ ဆေးပေါ့လိပ်လုပ်ငန်းရှိကြပေမဲ့ နန်းပန်မြို့ကတော့ ဆေးပေါ့လိပ် လုပ်ငန်းနှင့်နာမည်ကြီးပါတယ်။ 
ဆေးပေါ့လိပ်လုပ်ငန်းအတွက် ကုန်ကြမ်းများ 
 သနပ်ဖက် 
( ကျောက်တလုံးမှ သနပ်ဖက်သည် အကောင်းဆုံးဟု သ်ိရပါသည်။ သနပ်ဖက်စျေးနှုန်းမှာ 
သနပ်ဖက်၏ အရည်အသွေးအလိုက်ကွာပြီး 
သနပ်ရွက်တိုလျှင် စျေးသက်သာပြီး၊ သနပ်ဖက်ရှည်လျှင် စျေးများပါသည်။) 
စပ်ဆေး 
စပ်ဆေးကို ( ဆေးရိုး၊ ကုန်းဆေး၊ လျှော်) တို့ဖြင့် ရောစပ်ထားပြီး မြင်းခြံမှထွက်သော စပ်ဆေးသည် အကောင်းဆုံးဖြစ်ပါသည်။ စပ်ဆေး၏ အရည်အသွေးအရ ကွာပါသည်။ 
ရှာလကာရည် 
ဆေးစပ်ရာတွင် အသုံးပြုသော ရှာလကာရည်ကို ( မန်ကျည်းသီး၊ ဆန်အရက်၊ နာနတ်သီး) တို့ဖြင့် မြေအိုးထဲတွင် အနည်းဆုံး(၂) နှစ်ထား၍ အချဉ်ဖောက်ပြီး နေမထိုး၊အရိပ်ရသောနေရာတွင် သိပ်ရပါသည်။ 
အစီခံ 
အစီခံကို ပြောင်းဖူးခွံ၊ သတင်းစာစက္ကူ၊
သာကူဖြင့်ပြုလုပ်သော ကော် တို့ဖြင့် ပြုလုပ်ထားပါသည်။ အစီခံ က်ို ရွှေညောင်မြို့မှ အများဆုံးပြုလုပ်ပါသည်။

(၁) သနပ်ဖက်အရွယ်အစား ဆိုဒ်ကို အရင်ခွဲရပါတယ်။ 
(၂) သနပ်ဖက်အရွယ်အစားခွဲပြီး သနပ်ဖက်ကို စက္ကန့်အနည်းငယ်မျှရေဆွတ်ပေးရပါတယ်။ 
ရေမဆွတ်ပါက သနပ်ဖက် အရောင်ပြောင်းသွားတတ်ပါတယ်။ 
(၃) စပ်ဆေးကို ရှာလကာရည်ဖျန်းပါမယ်။ ရှာလကာရည် မဖျန်းပါက အနံ့ပြင်းပါတယ်။ 
(၄) သနပ်ဖက်ထဲသို့ စပ်ဆေးထည့်လိပ်ပြီး 
ဆေးပေါ့လိပ် ထိပ်ဖျားပိုင်းကို ကြာဖူးထိုးပါမယ်။
(၅)အစီခံထည့်လိပ်ပြီး ကော်ကပ်ပါမယ်။ 
တံဆိပ်ပါ တခါထဲ ထည့်ကပ်ပါမယ်။
လိုသလောက်အရှည်က်ို အစီခံဖက်မှ ညှပ်ချပါမယ်။ 
(၆) နောက်ဆုံးအဆင့်အနေနှင့် လိပ်ပြီးသွားသော ဆေးလိပ်များကိုဆေးလိပ်ကင်ဖိုတွင်
ပြန်ကင်ပေးရပါသည်။ 
(၇) ဆေးလိပ်သမတစ်ဦးကို 
တစ်နေ့လျှင် ဆေးလိပ် အလိပ်ရေ 
(၅၀၀ မှ ၁၀၀၀) အထိ ပြီးပါတယ်။

 ဆေးလိပ်ပြုလုပ်ရာမှထွက်လာသော သနပ်ဖက်အတိုအစ၊ အစီခံအစများကို ငါးစာထည့်ကျွေးသည်ဟု သ်ိရပါသည်။ 
ဖော်ပြပါ ဆေးပေါ့လိပ်လုပ်ငန်းအကြောင်းကို နန်းပန်မြို့၊ ပေါက်ပါးရပ်ရှိ “ ငွေဇင်ယော်” ဆေးလိပ်ခုံမှ ပြောကြားချက်များကို 
ပြန်လည်ရေးသားမျှဝေပေးပါသည်။

Brief Story of Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda

In the time of Zaw Bwar “Si Hsine Pha” in the year 721, when he founded Nyaung Shwe. About 580 years ago, five Buddha images were sculpted while the “Than Htaung Village” caves were explored. Of the five sculpted images of Buddha, two of them are "Ya Han Thar". Also, some villages have check-points at their entrance. Quarantine Requirements - Travelers arriving by car People coming from Yangon, Mandalay, Stay-at-Home Townships and overseas need stay at the Quarantine Facility Center or a Government designated quarantine hotel for 14 days at your own expense. The Quarantine Facility Center is the Nyaung Shwe Basic High School No. 1 and it costs 3.000Ks per day (included meals). - Travelers arriving by plane Passengers arriving at Heho Airport, will have the authorities verifying their recommendation letters from your residence township and will identify those who need to stay under quarantine. Seagulls by the lake

During the winter season, seagulls come to Inle Lake. They usually stay on the middle of the lake. But on this winter, due to the low number of tourists due to the Covid-19, the birds are staying at the Jetty of Nyaung Shwe in search of food. In this area, seagulls are often fed with bread and traditional Nyaung Shwe fried chick peas. Unfortunately bread, chips and fried food are very unhealth for birds. Fish is the best food/snack to keep them healthy. Interesting Facts about Inle Lake

Inle is a 14 miles in length and 7 miles wide lake, part of the Shan Hills, the lake is bounded by the East Sin & West Lattmongkyawe, Shwe Maye Tint, Taungkhamauk, ShweInn Tein and Shwe O Daung Mountains. It is located 2.914 feet above sea level. According to geologists, Inle Lake is a dissolved lake formed by the melting of limestone. It is believed that the lake is 200 million. The lake receives water from numerous creeks and rivers flowing from many different directions, even from different states. But unfortunately according to the UNDP & FAO’s research in 1993 the lake level is decreasing 3.5cm a year. The people that lives on the lake are called Innthar. And there are many different stories behind the origin of them. One of them is from a book called “History of Nyaung Shwe Town” written in 1920, where they mentions that the Innthar ethnicity originates from people that came from Htarvai to work for the Shan Chief, Sao Sipha, and stayed at the Nanthae Village and ...

Let me tell you about one of our must-try food during your stay in Nyaung Shwe / Inle Lake. The Shan Rice, is a local dish usually eaten for breakfast. Some people also enjoy having it for lunch or dinner. It is made with a mix of Shan rice or Inle rice, tomato stock, boiled snake head fish soup, tumeric powder and fish paste, fried garlic oil.
